Windshield Protection...

I drive a lot of miles, around 40,000kms a year just to work and back (70mph+) and my windshields eventually get sand blasted.

Is there any product out there to help prevent or delay this from happening?

I haven't heard of anything to protect the windshield, but that really sucks!

my first thought was if there were any clear bra for windshields but I read that windshields stretch due to hot/cold so a clear bra would be bad.

Your next best bet would be some sort of coating... but i'm sure they have very little effect in protecting your windshield from even little rocks.

Best thing to do is to stay back a bit from other cars so that you're not getting hit with all of the crap that their tires kick up. You can polish glass and then seal it, but it's just going to happen again.

I used to commute 110 miles per day for work so I know what you're going through. Makes you wish mud flaps were mandatory on all cars/trucks.

I feel your pain. I daily drove my Lotus Elise and that sucker had the constellations mapped out on the windshield after putting 75,000 miles on it!!! I replaced the windshield under insurance once and then bought some tear away windshield film. It's used for track sessions which came with 5 sheets and after a track session, you tear one layer off... I found myself running out of layers in half a year... said screw it - not gonna spend every time for this... Maybe there's something like that for our cars..?

Are the windshields covered on the 3 year warranty that comes with the BRZ?

I don't believe they'd cover that, it's considered normal wear and tear.

Clear bra isn't a bad option, just illegal I believe in most places, should check though I suppose. They aren't optically clear enough.
