Hoping to hear from @moto-mike as the car is ready just waiting for the tune. Can't wait to start it up.

So took the FRS out for some more logging after a tune revision for the SC, went to switch maps and the Cruise Control Stock broke off... wonderful. Time to see if this is a normally stocked dealer part.

Oh the joys

So called one dealer because the closer dealer and I are in the middle of a legal battle over the engine and asked if they had it in stock and if we could just get things setup. They told me (Desert Toyota) that they didn't think the cruise control stalk was covered under warranty (This is all over the phone they have never seen the car) but they would call me back.

I called Scion Corporate and spoke with a John and he told me that made no sense. Then when he found out they had not even seen the car he really did not understand. He asked me to go to Precision because he felt it should not be an issue and have them look into it.

I get there and a Service Advisor named Logan looks things over and says "Yes your car is in warranty we can get that in but would probably need to get parts." I told him that was fine he mentioned it would be 2-2.5hrs and I said I would go get lunch.

10 minutes later while I am in the lobby another Service Advisor introduces himself and says he will be handling it now. They want 99.95 because the car is modified and now the wait is 6hrs.
I let him know that is not acceptable and how would I modify a Cruise Control Stalk, he mentioned the vehicle engine modifications and I asked him how those even relate to it. He couldn't say so I asked how you modify the cruise control stalk or even the steering column and at that point it became 3 managers all trying to give the same pitch yet no one could tell me how you modify a cruise control stalk to fall of the steering wheel.

They asked if I was so sure why not authorize it and if it's not my fault they will handle it, I asked why it went from 2-2.5hrs to now 6hrs and they said because it's my vehicle. I asked for a clear cut definition of what could be modified because obviously there was a bias here and the only response was "Well if the screws show markings of it being apart" I was fine with that as I knew it had not been but when I asked them to clarify that would be the sign then suddenly it could be anything that caused it and my car was modified...

Basically it became clear they wanted 100 to find an excuse to claim it was because I had put in the new engine and we were in the middle of a legal battle. No one had a good way I could have modified the cruise control stalk physically to cause a failure and frankly I just got to deal with arguing over something that when I went in was as simple as "Oh yeah that's under warranty let's fix it" to "Oh it's you... yeah no"

Now back to dealing with corporate but I have to say I really hope they do not force me to go back there, not that Desert has seemed much better but frankly this is just nuts I mean seriously it's a cruise control stock what do you think I did stacked weights on it?

Such a wonderful day!

I decided to just check how much they were and found one for 19.90 shipped on eBay so forget it I will just handle it myself.

Alright had some fun at the Midnight Drags Last night but a lot of waiting which lead to some heat soak. I have some ideas to help with it next time.

Anyway the car consistently ran 104mph only dropping to 103mph once. Best time was a 13.69. Considering this was Tucson where the DA always sucks I am not upset. Guess we can see how it goes once I get launch control set perfectly and can really work more on trying for a better 60 foot than just finding the sweet spot like I was last night.

That might be one of the worst dealership stories I have ever read, and I have read quite a few. I must not understand how the Scion dealership warranty repair process works. Their dealership must be so busy getting overpaid for normal repair work and oil changes that they don't want to spend the time getting paid book time for a warranty repair from Scion, so they look for ways to get money from Scion and the customer. I would continue on with Scion corporate cause they need to know this kind of stuff is going on and ruining their reputation.

I just bought the one online and added this to my current legal case as they called Desert Toyota and told them my car was rebuilt from an accident. I guess I forgot to post about that here I thought I had.

So the Dealership I am in a legal battle with, is now making claims my cars has been in an accident and rebuilt and called Desert Toyota to tell them that. I have never been to Desert Toyota because it's over 30 miles away from me, however here we are with a story making it over there because Precision decided to take it upon themselves to call and make a story up. My car has been in an accident apparently and that means the cruise control stalk was modified.... I am at a complete loss here.

I already bought the replacement so at this point I do not even care about getting the work done but the fact a dealership would not only lie but then call another dealership to spread such a lie.... Holy crap.
I just forgot to post it here too.

Took a few pictures of the car for a before and after with the new hood I ordered, should be here middle of next week.

I ordered the Carbon Fiber Top Secret Hood from Fast Scions. They claim there are only 2 left now and they will not be making any more. Hopefully the quality as they claim, I liked that it doesn't have cheap metal mesh grills but lets hope that going the route of not getting the Seibon FA Hood proves to be the right one.

Here are the photo's I took with the new Camera I got.

Alright this OEM Armrest is annoying to install but I really like it. Looks great and the height is perfect.

Now to wait for my hood to arrive this week.
