What the hell. Either I am super unlucky with Ethanol or the sensor is bad. Either way, i'm fucked. I topped off with the E85. I mean, it still drove fine though. Fuel trims were a bit lean though as soon as the 'E85' started going through the lines. Even if it was bad E85, wouldn't my sensor reading something other than 10%?! It has to go up a few numbers at least.

so no i do not think so

the fixed value i was talking about is forced by ecutek if the flex sensor gets faulty basically

Here's a small log. Not a cold start log but a small driving one. Do you see anything out of place while I wait for my tuner to wake up and reply to my email.

yes, i can see you have ethanol, BE VERY CAREFUL going to open loop .. do not WOT your car at the moment as i don t think the "cl fuel correction %" will keep up with the fuel demand on hard pulls, timing will be low but will go very lean

unless tuner did something superwrong in the sensor scaling (very unlikely) i think sensor went bad and it's keeping the minimum scaled amount

thx for your time Tomm.brz. Think im going to go ahead and order a new sensor. Pretty much every flex fuel kit for our platform uses the same sensor right?

Thinking about just swapping it out with this one

Before you change sensors out, test your fuel. If the results are significantly more ethanol content than what your gauge reads and what your ECU is reading, then there's still the possibility that water is affecting the sensor and replacing it will not fix the problem. However, if the sensor IS bad or there is water present and you actually have E85 in your tank, then your engine would not be running properly if at all.

All of your evidence is pointing to the probability that there is only 11% ethanol content in your fuel.

TEST YOUR FUEL.

Ethanol test kit arriving by Sunday. Car will be down until then, but like Tomm said, there is definitely ethanol in there. Just weird how my Zeitronix gauge is not reflecting it.

where are "all" those evidence?
his tune was good before, and now he has 35+% of LTFT and a super lean open loop state

Change ethanol sensor

Welp, it's not the tune and the gas is definitely ethanol. I'm all out of ideas. It's just problem after problem with this car.

Really hoping it's just a bad flex fuel sensor.

Fixed it guys. It was a bad flex fuel sensor. Strange.. I thought these things never failed. As soon as I replaced it, the sensor started reading ~E65 which is what the mix was.

Old sensor got drunk / became alcoholic from ethanol. You could no more believe to what he said
