Well if the TCA class in any indication of performance the Velo is tough to beat as long as you can get your head around an fwd hot hatch.

I get it. Mods will be cheaper than a new car. Put extra money into the house.

What part of that made you think I didn’t know Hyundai is Korean?

You brought up Chinese cars in a conversation that didn't have any?

Hyundai’s are good until they are not. My in laws have had 3. First one was a piece of crap can’t remember but it was 2009 sedan. Then they got a 2012 gen 3.8 sedan which was very nice and powerful. They gave it to my wife after the lease with 12k on it. She drove it until 77k miles when the tranny started slipping and we traded it in. Never would have bought one but it was very nice until it started failing. My in laws have a Santa Fe which is working fine. Can’t say I am a fan, but they are certainly way better than those early years.

I was under the impression that anything korean built after 2011 is good enough to not worry about its reliability.

But as time goes it seems like the good enough korean cars are actually after 2016 or so lol.
