949 Racing 6ul: Opinions?

Barely seen any mention of these wheels on this forum, and for their price and weight seem to be at the same level as RPF1's. I'm thinking about picking up a set of these but want to know if any 86 owners have experience with them, seeing as they have an offset produced specifically for our cars. I know they're popular in the Miata scene so they should be good.

Those wheels are amazing. TBH, they're so good, there's usually a supply problem for the more popular sizes and colors.

I've been autocrossing on them for two years now with no complaints:

I have run 17x8 6uls with no issues - with 225/45/17 re71r tires on track. Forget the offset, but I got them from CSG and they fit no problems with stock suspension or my rce yellow springs which lower about an inch.

It's a solid option for racing if you don't want to run RPF1s, or if you can't shell out the dough for forged wheels.

If I were to get a new set of wheels these would be at or near the top of my list. I'm a little surprised we don't hear more about them.

Loved those wheels when I had my Miata, hope they gain traction in our cars too.

ultra legit company run by people who race first and sell you stuff second. emillio created his own miata racing series. their components are legit. one of the things i dont often see discussed is availability. there are some cool wheels that are lighter and a little more costly but if i bend a whleel, i want to be able to go buy another wheel that day. needless to say im a huge fan from my miata days and they will be the wheels i run on this car as well.

Ok, one more question. Gonna order from Jackson Racing and they say that valves are not included. If I'm gonna just transfer my current tires onto these wheels I can reuse the valves right?

they have two valves per rim i think so you will need some either way.
