I have custom fitted heatshields, you won't need to use the visors.

That's a pain, i noticed my visors are stiff and make an annoying noise when i flip them back up. I thought it was a noise because it was new. Now I'm worried.

Use this stuff. Other parts of the plastic will break before the two halves come apart again.

This just happened to me this morning, doing the same thing (removing sun shade). It hasn't even been the coldest day. I'm at 27k miles BTW.

Just happened to me a few weeks ago. It was in the sun blocking position for a couple days, I went to move it up and it just broke off exactly like pictured.

Took it to a dealer and had it replaced under warranty 2 weeks later.

Same exact thing happened on my BRZ Limited (2 years old - 33k miles), and my friend's 10 series FRS (1 year old - 15k) yesterday. Doing exactly that, removing the sunshade, I realized it was "stuck" and proceeded to fold it gently as if I was returning it to its proper "up" position. Before I knew it had happened, the mount was in two pieces, and the sunvisor was hanging by the vanity light wires... SMH! Pics below for proof! lol

I rather supply a part number than try to explain this to the dealership.

Anyone got the part number?

Thanks,

Chalk me up as another person with near exactly the same break as the OP. Careful with your sun visors people.

@DAEMANO, contact me, I never installed my new passenger visor before the car got totaled. So I have one available for cheap.

dang! The clips used to get real brittle on my older car, and a bunch of owners had this issue.

I'm actually surprised they don't break more often since they really are under quite a bit of stress haha/usually get moved pretty quickly.
