One of my favorite comments of all time, so you gotta get it right:
"I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit... It's the only way to be sure" Then my second favorite quote of all time: "And they're going to get us!..... Hudson! This little girl survived for longer than that with NO weapons and NO training!....... WHY DONT YOU PUT HER IN CHARGE!" Then there's the one that pops into my head at EVERY meeting at work when they finish with "Are there any questions?" I have to literally bite my lip to keep from saying "Yeah! How do I get out of this chicken shit outfit?" Quote:
If I had my choice, I would rather be bitten by the Black Widow.... |

Love this thread. A thousand thank yous. Having grown up in New Mexico spiders aren't a big deal, even had a tarantula for a pet as a kid although not as big as the one above, but I'll share a quick story that gives even me the shivers when I think of it.
In highschool two friends and I went backpacking in the Gila Wilderness in western NM. One friend and I got up early to start breakfast over the fire when the late sleeper went tearing out of the tent and straight into the river about 20 yards away. As he tells it... "I woke up and saw movement at the top of the tent. It was a big, about 2 inch, wolf spider trying to move from one panel of the tent to another. It lost it's footing, hung by one leg for a second and then dropped onto my bare chest." It was a mother spider. For those that don't know mother wolf spiders carry their babies on their back until they get bigger. When that spider hit my friend thousands of little teeny tiny spiders went crawling all over him. I'm just surprised he didn't break his neck getting out of the tent and down to the river. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone |

I love how you have accessorized the spring to match your spider. Your game is very much on point. I would have to tent fumigate my car before working on it if we had those critters around here. |

Jesus! Did you say something about spiders coming with the car? You know what? I'm going to have to reconsider this whole buying an 86 thing.

I actually have a similar problem to you... About a week ago I saw a spider at the top of my windshield, and being that I usually don't like to "deal" with them I just left it figuring that it would go away...
However I was very wrong. Apparently it was a mother spider and it now lives In my 86 with its family. I'm not sure if any of you are familiar but there seems to be a small gap where the top of the windshield meets the roof liner and that's where they pop out every once in a while. I was greeted this morning while driving on I95 by one of her babies dropping and hanging in front of my face. This was followed by a loud "HOLY S###" and I opened the windows and sent him on his way... Anyway any of you have any suggestions (and I'm not setting my car on fire yet lol). I'll try to get some pics but I usually get freaked out every time she "drops" in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
