Closest route that's worthwhile driving to you is probably Sharp Park Rd which connects between 280 and 1. Very short but sweet. Good start to a cruise down Hwy 1, through the new tunnels and on down to Half Moon Bay. From there you can head back East and cruise down Skyline 35, or keep on going down 1 to explore more great roads further south...

I'm planning to do this loop tomorrow/friday morning/lunchtime/afternoon if anyone wants to join in.

The route is:

280 fwy to 92 (B-C)

skyline rd (35)(C-E)

la honda hwy 84(E-F)

1 hwy (F-G)

pescadero rd all the way back up through la honda, onto the 35 going northbound (G-H-E-C-D-B)

this would probably take 2 hours if you start and end at point B (the full loop).

I'm driving from San Francisco, if anyone wants to join me for this we can set up a meeting point.

There is a Tpumps in san mateo which is close to the starting point, and a starbucks near it too. what times are you free.

edit: GF wants to come, so I can't get to san mateo until 2:00-3pm

I might be in the area but probably won't be able to join you guys... will keep an eye out for you guys though.

Have fun it's a great route I did something similar the other day. Watch out for construction/repaving trucks on 84 La Honda though they might be working during the daytime.

Whenever. Just let me know when you be there and I'll get there for a drive! Would this be it? 106 S B St, San Mateo, CA 94401 I wasn't sure what Tpumps was. I was thinking it as a acronym for something.

Love this drive. Took a car tour, and drove in an EVO on this route. Alice's is nice for a quick breakfast/lunch break. Maybe an early morning drive would be awesome! FYI, I'm a newbie and I drive slow :P please don't leave me behind

If you feel like waiting till late tomorrow night, I'll be doing 9 and 35 around midnight to go hang out on the mountain for a bit. There's definitely no traffic at midnight.
