I'm gonna stick to my original decision and go for a 86. However, will only order in January as I want a 2014 model and not really stuck without a car until then. Gives me time to make up my mind on colour too.

I also like the option of personalising the car. Yep, it does have a cost associated with it, but I guess it's ultimately about the enjoyment above all else.
Very wise. I'm sure you're going to enjoy your satin pearl white 86 a lot.

Lol sav - Satin white pearl is nearly common !!!

Crystal Silica Black is gorgeous but only clean for 15 minute intervals...

It really doesn't matter - there's no really bad colour - and Plastidip can fix that too...

@Vic_RSA, @Moe is obviously a man of good taste and will therefore get a pearl white as @sav suggests.
But if he is truly a man of good taste, he'll be buying a race spec version.

I would say go for a E92 M3 dct box. This car won't disappoint you, it's fast and can handle as good as 86 and you can pick up a second hand one for under 450 and a good year model. With BMW you get a motor plan so if the car does go wrong they will replace anything. Actually you can even get the E93 M3 convertible for that price and you can get a 2010 or 2011 model plus you can extend the motor plan which costs between 10-20K and that's an extra two years.
Try that

Haha no you're refering to the 86 Lite.

Race Spec=Bigger ventilated brakes, proper wheels, etc.

But let's not go there.

Pffft...we're not missing things such as proper brakes, wheels, shift light, shift buzzer, etc. You know, race stuff. That I do know.

Haha don't worry, there is a lot of history behind the 86 Race Spec vs 86 Lite discussion. All lighthearted.
