No such thing as depressed. It's a state of laziness created by those who profit by pedaling psychobabble to the vulnerable and only exists in affluent societies.

Harden the fuck up, get over whatever is bothering you and get on with life. You may not live in a place as great as the one I do, but you could be far worse off.

1. My girlfriend. I want to ensure that we have a happy, stable, and secure future, so that provides drive for me to get up and go to work on the days I really really don't want to.

2. Fun. I want to have my own indoor skatepark, a nice set of trails in my back yard, a fast car, a fun motorcycle, and a house on a lot of land for privacy and room to enjoy most of said things. Saying all that makes me sound really materialistic, but it's not for balling factor, it's because those are the things that I enjoy the most.

3. Aging. At ~120 years if you're very lucky, life is way too short to get it all done. So I often feel driven to hurry and check items off the bucket list while I'm still able to hold the pen and there's an adequate amount of ink still in it.

Your a d**k.
But thanks (I mean that non sarcastically, believe it or not)

But your right, I've only been depressed lately because I was in a motorcycle accident a few months ago. Lazy, right now because of my broken back, yes 100%. I'll be back to work soon, which will make me less lazy. Actually thinking about work makes me a bit excited. Thanks man! Hahaha

I was screwed up man. Ripped my spleen in half, destroyed my hand, broke 3 vertebrae, some other random bone in my back, and a rib.

I still miss riding more then anything. I guess if I could contribute to this thread, motorcycle riding is very motivational to me when I think about it.

This thread made my week.

This thread made my week.
With 14 years of BMX riding (not racing) and about 3 years of sport bike riding under my belt, I know all about how being laid up in bed for long periods of time can get you down. But I'm always high on life and much more appreciative of everything for quite a while as soon as I get back to moving/living again. Such is the rollercoaster of life. But hey, at least you're living. Some people graduate high school, get an office job, then die of a heart attack/aneurism/cancer at the age of 45 without ever having broken a bone, traveled 180mph+ on two wheels, fallen from a plane, dived in with exotic fish in tropical waters, traveled outside of their own country, experienced a near death experience, or anything else one might could think of that could count as a really special experience.

Last injury I had was a separated shoulder from high siding my R6. Did I enjoy it? Hell fucking no, I didn't enjoy it! Are you crazy? Why would you even ask that? Am I glad it happened? Yes, because now I know what it's like to go sliding across asphault at over 100mph. Is that useful information? Nope, but it certainly was an experience, and I appreciate it for what it is.

Also, watch some Ted Talks Seminars. They are personally extremely motivational and I usually find the drive to do something better with my skill set than to work a typical 9-5 just to pay the bills. Here's the link:
