Haha. Mine is a BRZ so I'll probably get a Forester or they'll send me across the street to Enterprise and I'll end up with a Yaris or something stupid. Once they rented me a Tacoma pickup which was ok, another time I got an Elantra which thoroughly sucked.

Where are you in central NY, it's a pretty big (empty) place? I'll be up in Watertown for a few hours in two weeks for work, probably hit a few stores in Syracuse or Utica while I'm in the area.

Watch out for the pot holes in Watertown.

Syracuse area. Home of the world's greatest...umm... ahhh... uhh.... leesseee...... salt? There's a pretty great woodfired pizza/high end craft brew joint... we have THAT... well, not IN Syracuse, but closer to my place, so that's cool... lesseee... what else.... salt... yeah... salt... winter.. we have winter.. a lot of mud, rain, clouds, and humidity during the three months that snow almost never falls. We've got that too. And the weird thing is, I DID choose to live here. Used to live farther north where it was even colder... if it was colder here, it would better.

It's way too cold up here in winter

Head northeast to Potsdam, or eastnortheast to Saranac Lake... I've lived in both places. Makes Watertown look like the Bahamas, at least in terms of cold. Both were actually beautiful places to live. I love it when it's frigid outside... so quiet, crisp. Winter's my absolute favorite time of year. Beautiful time for a post-valve spring recall discussion (just trying to tie the thread back together.. ).

No issues so far with our dealership doing the recalls. They did my FR-S and it is running fine. We only do one recall at a time. The problem with some motors going down at other dealerships, is that they may me doing too many recalls at the same time.

I don't mind Syracuse (too much) but I don't think it's a place I'd choose to live. I've spent a fair bit of time in the area, did some skiing when I was a kid because I have family there and we'd stay with them. I was there last summer and went to a brewery downtown with my cousins, good beer and really good burgers. The street it is on is pretty cool, actually the whole neighborhood seemed alright, with shops and restaurants and it was very walkable. The state fairgrounds is huge. I'll be in the area for work in about 2 weeks also...

I got an Impreza. I think I would have rather had a forester though. If it's gonna be boring to drive, I'd at least want it bigger and usable.

Going to be in Kingston in July so maybe I can talk the wife into coming back south of the lake and we will pass through again. I will wave this time.
