@funkjaw, I'm really surprised at the power you're making - sounds quite healthy, haha.
Glad you got that sorted! It's funny on the dyno today the tuner was saying my oil temps were high and erratic and I had to explain to him that was perfectly normal and not to worry about it...

and thanks man it's pretty exciting!!!... well I mean my wife isn't excited about all the money I spent on this, which is partially the fault of this thread - but I know once she drives it she'll be less pissed off at me.. hopefully.

Well it just hit the dyno today and here are the results (followed by complete parts list).

The red lines are WHP and the blue lines are WTQ
The top lines are with the new head/cams on E50
The bottom lines are from when it was originally tuned on stock head/cams on 93
264.3WHP
199.4WTQ
This is making me really excited for my car, I doubt I'll make quite this much but really nice to see some great NA numbers!

Overall from when I first swapped the car to now:
+39.6WHP peak
+36.3WTQ peak

Comparing new head/cams on E50 vs stock on 93

I don't have an overlay of when I dyno'd on E85 with the stock heads, but looking back at that old dyno sheet, here are numbers for those curious
+30WHP peak
+4WTQ peak

While +4WTQ doesn't seem like a lot, looking at my E85 graph as a whole it makes more torque everywhere in the power band:
@3300 RPM +5WTQ
@4000 RPM +22WTQ
@5000 RPM +4WTQ
@6000 RPM +10WTQ
@7000 RPM +12WTQ
@8000 RPM +18WTQ

This is really good news to me because I was afraid I would lose some low end going with these cams and happy to report that the opposite happened which is great because this will always be a daily driver first and foremost.

Parts List:
2006 k24A2 from the junkyard - unknown miles
4 Piston TSX Pro Head
Toda A3 camshafts
Bosch 74mm TB with Kpower adapter (we'll see how long this holds out)
Mishimoto Powerstack Performance Air Filter
Toda Valve Springs
Ferrea Valves
OEM retainers, locks, seats
Viton Valve Seals
Toda Timing Chain
Toda Oil Pump Chain
Toda Chain Tensioner
ARP Head Studs
Trac Truf 40 degree VTC limiter (this might have been overkill and may have even robbed a HP or two but I wanted to be safe than sorry)
OEM guides
DragCartel lower guide

I don't have the car back yet but once I do I'll do an acceleration video and compare it to the old E85 setup.

Here is the dyno vid:
That's pretty awesome!

What front sway bars ya'll runnin without any clearance issues? I have a Hotchkis 25.4mm hollow sway bar and it definitely touches and causes vibrations against the transmission adapter.

I have Eibach, and it seems to clear fine.

As promised here is an acceleration video of my car with the new 4piston head and toda A3 cam setup. It picked up .3 seconds in the 20mph-60mph vs the stock head on E85 in a previous video I posted. This probably translates to 4 or 5 tenths faster in the quarter mile I suppose? Definitely nothing to shake a stick at that's for sure.

Well that sucks, finally got my kit and am working on getting all together and that's the same sway bar I've got

Yeah I mean it works, but obviously the NVH introduced is not ideal. I'll likely get 20mm sway bar to fix it.

Ohh I didn't even think about swaybars being an issue... I bought another Karcepts one recently... hope it works. Guess I'll keep my Perrin 19mm one a little longer as a backup.

Hey fellas,

I've reached out to OS Giken, Competition Clutch, Clutch Masters, Exedy, Tilton, XClutch with inquiries about whether their twin clutches would work. Clutch Masters, for instance, makes a K24 to Subaru transmission adapter and flywheel that work with their twin discs, but this is for the EJs (see below). Several have gotten back to me with a "No" and some have asked for measurements and some said they could if I sent in my flywheel or provided accurate measurements.

https://clutchmasters.com/i-30508045...-flywheel.html

Does anyone know these dimensions who has their parts readily available? I have a spare transmission in my garage, so I could probably get the thickness of the adapter plate, the distances to the TOB and input shaft from the transmission, but I don't have the engine out to be able to measure the flywheel and engine side. If someone is feeling so kind then I would appreciate any measurements they could contribute.

My goal is to get a twin disc that is organic, sprung and with a steel flywheel for the most steetable clutch setup possible, but I don't know if I will be able to get everything I want. I've read and watched videos that the Clutch Masters is nice because the spring tensioners on the plates make them not rattle, so it doesn't sound like a Ducati dry clutch.

I hope OS Giken responds positively. They make some of the best clutches I have every used. And they only make noise when you push in the clutch because of the floating pressure plate. Also it would me I could buy their sequential transmission if I ever win the lottery.

They did. They want to know the thickness of the adapter plate.
