i guess 1-4 can't be decided until price/spec are out.

5 is still open in terms of who will be joining but i am not concerned on this at this stage. i think we will be contacted directly with the broker after price is known?

if the individual participants will deal with the broker directly, why would he needs to draft up a proposal. it's just like a normal engagement.

i'd think the process is like this:
- coyote gathers as many interested (firm) buyers as he can;
- engage the broker to bargain the deal collectively for the above participants;
- supply the final onroad price + admin cost (if any) etc to the participants for them to make their final decision;
- once the buyer(s) confirmed the go ahead, broker will arrange all the paper works etc and deposit paid by the buyers;
- arrange delivery with dealer.

personally i don't think this GB thingy will be much different to buying cars via any brokers. rather than 1 big customer buying many cars, it's a few customers collectively buying a few cars. Normally brokers don't want to deal with so many people as it's much more work for them and it's great that coyote has contacts that would be happy to assist. AFAIK you are not locked in until you have agreed with the final price. however i can understand why coyote only wants people who are serious in buying.

if the above is incorrect, please feel free to correct me Coyote.

I'm not looking for a lot of interest as quite frankly I don't think there are many genuine no-nonsense buyers out there.

I've opened up what we are doing (possibly against my better judgement) to anyone else who knows they want to buy a BRZ and are interested in a better deal.

Please don't post any more suggestions folks. If you're interested, great. If not, I'm not here to try and sell this to anyone.

I doubt you'll find too many genuine no nonsense buyers on this forum. Going by most of the rhetoric in the pricing threads it seems that most aren't willing to pay or able to afford the sort of money that this car will end up being priced at. Good luck with your group buy, I'm sure you guys will enjoy your cars. It's good to see there's at least one person on this forum who's not obsessed with price speculation and comparison with the Aurion, US prices etc and is committed to the actual purchase.

Thanks Sep. I guess that's the nature of a forum about cars you can't buy yet. Not long to go now.
