Mainly because when it revs up it does NOT sound like the engine is revving, its like they use a base idle sound and distort it with software to make the revving sound.

ITs also why i dislike the trend of "augmented" sounds through speakers....

My biggest (theoretical) issue with this kind of augmentation is the car manufacturer is trying to make the vehicle something it is not. It is an electric powered car, I get that, there is a demand for this kind of car but there is no point trying to make it emulate something it can not be.

Or they are trying to get the best of both worlds by having a quiet cabin, yet have big sound when the throttle is opened, or they are trying to get the car to sound big like its six or eight cylinder NA predecessor when it has a downsized and muted turbo four cylinder, or they are trying to get the car to sound louder than noise regulations allow.

I get it, but I am not a fan.
