Did 1 more data log this morning when it was a little bit cooler. Outside temp was 76-78 degrees F. A little bit warmer outside than with the Nameless intake and overall intake air temps were generally cooler with the Innovate. Both of these were done on the same stretch of road to make them as similar as possible with cruising, stopping, accelerating, ect.

Nameless intake uncoated - outside temp 70-75 F

Innovate intake - outside temps 76-78 F

While logging these variables, I would suggest showing MAF grams/sec to see what peak values you hit between the two at similar RPM's and gears. I bet you will find a difference of higher MAF grams/sec on cooler intake temps, which in turn, equates to more power.

Every review I read are from people loving up north complaining about 80's being hot, lol...
We did do some testing on the intercoolers in the Innovate Kit and found even in extremely hot conditions it does keep the charge temp into the engine fairly consistent. Though it may seem high (160-180 F) compared to a remote intercooler on every other kit on the market it still does the job of keep the temps consistent. Being air temps outside will never really go above 120 F (unless you live in hell), the charge temps will always stay around 160-180 and so you should have a fairly consistent tune. Really the only difference will be intake temps at this point, as it changes the power because air density changes.

William Knose

For whatever reason I only logged those 4 parameters with the Nameless intake but here is the Innovate intake with the MAF grams/sec. Maybe I'll switch back to the Nameless for a day or two to do another.

Basically that's how Sprintex will be selling the upgrade to the customer as a complete unit, unbolt the old 210 from the manifold and elbow at the back and slap on the 210+ total cost $2100 Australian, the pricing for it is on their website.

Like i said no idea how innovate would handle the upgrade to you in the USA as this only reflects buying from Sprintex directly.

http://www.sprintex.com.au/wp-conten...013_Page_1.jpg

Sounds way too expensive for a mild upgrade.

Through unofficial channels here in the US, I can upgrade to the 335 unit (starting off with a bigger 80 or 85mm pulley) for less than the cost of going 210+ (I send my 210 core back for credit and to be rebuilt/resold). I feel like there is some price gouging going on here.

Intake temps will be lower too with the 335. I don't buy the whole you must upgrade your motor to run the bigger unit fud. It sounds more like cya.

Compare the 335 to the 210+. Like for like the 335 is more expensive.

If you're sending the 210 unit back anyway, surely you can do that with either upgrade?

The 335 will undoubtedly push too much boost at lower RPM for a stock block. You'll either need to run massive overlap (if even that works) or you'll bend rods. We already know the rods on these are a potential week point when you go bumping up low end cylinder pressures.

I like gold too, been playing with my Nameless ceramic coated intake pipe, air raid intake, and gold tape. Also picked up this legsport replacement intake scoop which changes the air entry to right behind my grillcraft grill. The gold tape isnt sticking so great to the air raid box so I might have to get out the superglue, and I haven't mounted the legsport replacement intake scoop yet. I also sheathed the MAF sensor cable with some 3/8 tube to give it some protection in case the belt comes off, and if you get an air raid intake you'll need some sort of extension/adapter as it moves the coupling point further away from the intake tube. Oh yeah, "I like gold" too.

Also before i get told I'm lying about prices again, everything I'm saying in is Australian dollars. A video game in the us retails for $60 here it'll retail for $100-$120.

This guy gets it, I'm simply talking about cost of the unit itself and what has to be upgraded. I don't know what arrangement you have with your dealer, I'm working out a trade sorta thing with Sprintex myself but I'm not going to post what I'm getting here.

In the mean time, enjoy some videos from 8.59.

Are you spinning 1st and 2nd gears until you hit 3rd? Sounds like it. Nice.

Did anyone else remove the hood insulation after installing the kit? I am worried about the hood getting to hot and damaging the paint/clear bra. Thoughts?
