"Baby"....
"Gotta get my baby washed"
"Hey baby...let's DRIVE."

Yeah..it happens. I can't be alone here?! I'm married, but my car is my "Baby"

This pretty much sums it up: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryNtVK55OUY"]TV Commercial - Nationwide Insurance - Baby - Song by Mickey & Sylvia - Nationwide Is On Your Side - YouTube[/ame]

It's not good to name your cars.

My reasoning? Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers say that naming your car is a surefire way to get transmission problems.

I can't find what episodes in particular that they say this... but I remember there was a period of time where they were asking every caller on the show if they had named their car, and then when somebody would say yes they'd reply something like "is it having transmission problems?" before even asking what it was the caller was calling about.

They had a (joke) superstition going that cars with names were more likely to have transmission problems than cars with no name. I'm not the superstitious type but I refuse to name my cars out of respect for Tom and Ray... or at least that's the excuse I use to explain why I don't.

Tomoko

When naming things, I try to use the first letter in the brand along with some flavor based on the country of origin. Toyota + Japan = Tomoko.

...... ..... "humfrz" is a phonetic spelling of my last name (Humphreys).

The mrs humfrz gave me that name, and had personalized license plates made with that "name", so I could remember it when registering at motels ...

I kid you not!
