I am going to disagree here. This is completely and totally wrong in every way.

I think it depends on the car and depends on the dealer. A tech is a tech. They like to work on cars. They dont drive stock cars. They drive whatever the fuck they want. They often mod their owns cars, like any mechanic would.

I would NOT say that techs that work at dealers know nothing about modded or tuned cars. Absolutely wrong.

I have met every Tech at the Subaru dealer near my house. Every single one drives a completely modded and riced out 500hp STI or something crazy like that.

One drives a 480 hp Outback.

They talk to my friend about his car when its there for recalls. They know his car, they come and talk to him about it. They know his brakes are not stock, they talk about tunes, ricer shit.

Maybe this is a Subaru thing.

I doubt you’d have the same experience at BMW or Mercedes or Chevy or anything else.

I have had 2 different Subaru techs give me their cards and tell me that they will mod / work on / do anything I need PRIVATELY at their homes if I want.
You want to go stage 2? Dude, come by next Saturday, I can do it in my garage…etc.

I think this is a Subaru thing. Subaru techs like Subarus.

drove the car around for couple of days since getting it back. No issues so far.

I did notice the LT fuel trim is higher than before the recall. Before it would range from +1% - +6% at idle/no throttle. now its at +11% - +12.5% at idle. Does anyone know know what is the ideal LTFT range for the car running on e85? I'm still a noob when it comes to tuning. I tried to find answer in posts but nothing concrete. Also the LTFT changes(drops) when applying throttle vs idle. So when I monitor the LTFT should I monitor the idle LTFT or LTFT under throttle?
