I'll be sure to send the news article after getting arrested. Also was thinking of making a McGregor joke, but he's only 5'9", not Italian at all, and I hope they both get their asses kicked.

One more question... Did you measure the hole in the roof? I see your plastic plug is 20x30mm, did you have to trim it? |

I did had to trim it, hole was something like 18x25mm but I didn't find any plug closer to that size. Didn't matter, after trimming it was pretty snug and a dab of silicone sealed it.

I'll be looking for a circular hole cover which screws securely into place from inside. Just for peace of mind when going through a carwash. |

Welp, we made it back safely from the Chehalis Indian country.
The thing I had forgotten about traveling in August, is that no matter where you go ..... even the most uninteresting isolated places ....... motels fill up fast. Why? Because they are either having some sort of fair or festival or a rodeo or a car show ..... Now, Chehalis was having a garlic festival (although they don't grow garlic - go figure) AND a car show. So, both of the motels, without a number in their name, were booked up. So, we stayed at a EconoPlace motel. We checked in and was on our way, via the outside walkway, to our room on the second floor, when we encountered this spaced out kid sprawled across the walkway, in front of the room next to ours. 50 years ago, I would have just grabbed him up by his collar and threatened to throw him off the balcony unless he moved but I just kicked him and told him to move. About then, stepping out from the open doorway from the room, was this one foggy eyed, mostly toothless, horribly skinny, ugly, woman, in a bathrobe smoking a cigarette yelling at the kid with a string of obscenities. DAMN, I've seem some meth addicts in my time ...... but she was a classic ........ So, I went back down to the office and got us a different room. The different room was OK, once we got it aired out from the overwhelming smell of perfumed deodorizer spray. The A/C worked alright once I banged on it a few times. The next day, when we headed out, we went to the Denny's next door for breakfast. This Denny's looked to be closed or abandoned from the outside, but it was open. The hostess said she could seat up right away, but it would be about 45 minutes before we would get our food. WTF! No, thanks, we moved on down the road. We took the back roads back home. We stopped in this burnt out logging town on the way back for brunch. Yep, a hole in the wall, shotgun style little coffee shop that was up for sale ..... mrs humfrz balked, but she was hungry, so we went in. Yep, nothing like a get-away weekend in the country ...... humfrz |
