Booth has worked pretty well considering. Wasn't terribly expensive either, 1000' roll of pallet wrap $29, two harbor freight tarps $35 or so, 4 AC filters $15 and a roll of duct tape.

Garage would be better if for nothing else the comments and question regarding when is it coming down from the wife LOL.

I'm going to try and spray the scoop an underside of hood this afternoon. Tomorrow paint the top of the hood and the bumper emblem. At that point the booth can go away. She who must be obeyed will be pleased.

Hmm...not sure I knew you'd installed a hitch. What brand, and what have you hauled with it so far?

Hummm,,, not sure I remember,, I think it was a U-Haul but not 100% sure. I do remember it bolted between the bumper bar and the chassis. I got it so I could put a trailer hitch carrier for a large cooler. First time I used it the carrier was scraping the ground as it was too low. I've modified the hitch adapter to fix that. Works great as the cooler I use wont fit in the car.

Bummer. My wife painted the tank and side covers of her Honda Shadow before we met. I'm a super lucky bastard.

Paint is complete. Still need to sand and buff hood and scoop. Hoods got a lot of crap in the paint for some reason. We'll see what tomorrow brings with sanding and buffing. I also painted an aftermarket emblem for the front bumper. Wanted to shave it all together but the shape of the bumper really needs an emblem. Filled in the SCION. Not 100% sure I like it.

Man...I cannot wait to the see the finished product and watch/hear it run! And I'm soooo glad you went with a more traditional button flare than a huge Rocket Bunny type...that car is gonna look sharp.

Work continues. Lots of small tasks to complete,, basically a punch list before I try to start. Tomorrow I'll finish up a few then pull the motor hopefully for the last time. The biggest tasks are install the clutch, crank pully and oil pan. I want to detail the engine compartment as it's been sitting open for over two years and there's a little paint work to do as well. I need to detail the motor as well. It's amazing what the salt air does to aluminum.

July this year will be three years,,, just dam.

- Fix Dipstick
x Shorten lower radiator hard line
x Weld in bung on hard line for surge tank supply
X Lengthen fuel hose
x Trace and confirm location VSS and E85 wires
X Install Gas Cap
x Install pressure switch for AC
X Fab AC Lines
x Resolve PCV Lines
- Install Puke Tank
x Install clutch remote bleed

Pull motor/trans
Tighten Engine Side Fuel Line
Paint Valve Covers - Maybe
Detail engine bay
Detail Motor

Paint front support and above headlights
Install/Seal oil pan & pickup tube
Install new clutch
Install crank pulley
Fab transmission dust shield
Replace VSS

Install motor/trans
Fill Transmission
Install Oil Filter - Oil
Water
Reinstall dash

Took a bit of time off the work to do some honey do's, back at it again. Started the detail of engine compartment. For all of my years, cant say I've really every done this before. Wet rag, tooth brush and compressed air work pretty well considering it's been sitting open for almost 3 years. The aluminum on the motor has some oxidation that I still need to address but generally just about done.

I've also come to the conclusion the oil pan is a bit too close (for comfort) to the sway bar. I had bought an additional Oil Pan some time back so spent some time working on it this weekend. First problem the pan was nasty,, and I do mean nasty. Opted to clean it up myself. Made a redneck hot tank and cooked it for 3-4 hours. Did pretty well but should of put more degreaser in it. Hit it with brake cleaner, small wire brush then pressure cleaned. All in all came out OK.

OK for the modification. The back of the sump is just too close. You can see in the picture the area 'X'ed, just need 3/4" or so and I'll be happy. Like to have it cut up this week and sent out for welding.
