Good catch. I just phoned the media relations contact on the Canadian news release, Mr. LaJolie, and he said they have no information on the PP coming here at this point and that it may not be coming here at all. He did not know if the decision was made locally in Canada or internationally. I told him there are a lot of potential customers for it in Canada who will not be happy if it's not made available.
It may be that the only way you will get it is to buy a Series.Yellow, if that is coming here - but no mention of that on the release either. |

The Series.HyperBlue took some additional time to reach Canada, I would hopefully expect the same for the PP. Probably another press release around the time the US starts delivery of the PP.

^ Good to know. I just shot the Subaru manager responsible for the BRZ in Canada an email expressing "disappointment" in the apparent bypass of Canada re PP availability and asking her to press upon the relevant decision-makers our strong interest in it.

I just got an email from my sales rep, no new info that we do not already have, they do not know anything about the PP. Very disappointing. IF it was coming I would certainly wait, however if it is not coming I'd like to pull the trigger and get MY17 asap. No information at all is frustrating.
Been waiting over a year for this to buy this car. |

Once the 2017 PP is available, I too will be inquiring at my local dealership on if they're willing to install it on my '13 BRZ, and how much it'll be.

Out of curiosity, why? There are already tons of aftermarket options that are better and (likely) less expensive.

And I like the look & performance (however little) it offers. Plus it never hurts to simply inquire. If I don't like the deal the dealership offers, I move on. |

You're right, I knew one level didn't get the auto in the US, just switched them up. Here in Canada for some reason we get and will continue to get AT on both our trim levels.
