If you set the activation point at 72% and above no....the ecu is already in closed loop so fuel remains on target depending on how much air is being pushed in. If you set it at 50 percent then your cars fuel trims will be all over the place...I tried it at 50 percent and it wasn't good....the reason being was you had more NA power left so the transition was unnatural to boost.

For those wondering how to set the activation point to a precise position please follow these steps.
1. Turn car to ON position 2. Disable/Disarm the ESC 3. Connect OFT and start monitoring Thottle 4. Get in the footwell of the car and push the throttle down with your hand until you see 70ish percent thottle 5. Adjust the arm of the engagement switch by pulling forward or pushing backwards until the first 'click' happens at about 70% throttle....If your switch is installed correctly the first click being at 70ish percent will result in the second click for full boost being at 90+ percent. |

The kit on the first page should produce roughly the same max WHP and WTQ as what's been mentioned on these few recent pages. The partial throttle switch and new batteries improve the kit by allowing mid-throttle boost, simplifying and upgrading the battery array (and thus installation, and early driving power delivery), and improving thermal capacity (for longer on-boost sessions). Personally, I love the kit with the wide open throttle (WOT) switch. Nothing wrong with it AT ALL. I am upgrading because I have really enjoyed working through the kits development. So get the kit, and a tune. That's all you really need. You can add a catless header and e85 (if available in your area) as some of the more common power adders. You'll end up somewhere in the ballpark of 220-230WHP and 205-210 WTQ. The big thing about this kit are its' simplicity compared to "traditional" F.I. and the torque characteristics. Gobs of wonderful torque down low where you want it. |

Huge post indeed. I don't have an FR-S (Yet, fingers crossed), but the Phantom ESC is at the top of my wish list. Second to the car of course lol :-)

Did you mess with any of the wiring? Double check your connections make sure you didn't cross any wires. And triple check everything else. If that fails reload your tune.

Wow, didn't notice all these new posts and new development. Keep up the good work! I just put my car in storage last night. Won't be driving it for about 6 months. Hopefully by the time I get back to my car, they'll be a solid upgrade path.

Have a question about this, and I read through about 30 pages of information on it... Will leaving this set to "on" and not just turning it off when I don't want boost harm anything? I can see from the data that the more it is used in spurts it drains the batteries quite a bit, have there been tests done with just leaving it on so you have it on tap? Does it drain batteries, or does it make a difference?

This system is meant to be on all the time and it automatically shuts off when the car is shut off. It doesn't drain the batteries at all when not in use. In fact it charges the batteries when you are not at full throttle. Or in my case less then 60% throttle.
