Engine won't start after rebuild

Damaged the rod bearings in my GT86. After replacing bearings and rebuilding engine, it turns but won't start, though everything seems to be in order.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem?

My guess is something wasn't installed correctly. Did you do the install?
Seriously you need a real mechanic not FT86 forum troubleshooting.

Well, your engine needs fuel, air, compression and spark to run.

I reckon at least one of those is missing.

Just start checking for the missing component(s).

humfrz - being a BIG help ......

Based on the limited info humz, that's as helpful as I could be as well. Start with the obvious.

Your first step is to figure out what the engine is not getting. Start with the basics. Do a compression test. Test to see if the engine is getting fuel pressure. Test to make sure it's getting spark. Make sure no one stuffed a rag in the air intake.
