So much fun to get spun by a competitor on lap one, dropping to last place. And then the game tacks on an 1.5 - 3.0 second penalty for collision with the wall. Absolutely unbelievable.

Also I still haven't managed to beat the Grand Valley Gr1 race. And I'm not gonna do it with a fake car. Tried the McLaren F1 car and did horrible. Somehow that car chews up tires even worse than the heavier LMPs. I came in last place. Tried again with the Audi TDI R18 LMP (think that's the correct model desig) and came in 3rd. I hear it's possible to win with the SF90 formula car - will try once I have one of those.

Thanks! I tried that daily race again, and I guess I was bunched in with shitty drivers. Someone purposely pushed me into the grass in a braking zone, so I ended up spinning out since a tire or two dropped.

But yeah, I try to stick with daily race A for the same reasons, but if it's a track or car I don't like, then I'll look at race B or C.

I know the exact day of my last ever sport mode race in GT, Dec 9th 2017. (I'll know that date as long as the data lives on kudos prime.) It was the penalty system that made me pull the plug.. for my own sanity. And also I was way more into Assetto by then.

I invested a ton of time into the beta and planned on really putting some time into it GT Sport since the ranking system and all that basically guaranteed awesome racing. I was late getting started and was worried coming up through the ranks would be a pain. Nope, PD's questionable coding was the only problem

I finally sat down to some GT for first time in probably a month and for some reason decided to do the GV circuit experience. Really wish I didn't. 3rd sector was tricky, full lap took me around an hour. Far and away the hardest in GT7 for me so far, and I've done most of them.

Probably just a little rusty from not playing it for a while. Do it again after playing for a bit, and I'm sure your lap time will improve by a lot.

I bought the MX-5 Touring and damn, what a car. Super fun to drive. Beat the Tokyo Clubman Club with extreme ease. I have to win it the Shigeno AE86, but the car can become tricky to drive.

Must have been rust, I don't know. I watched some YT guides to it last night to see what I was doing wrong and there was no revelation. Just maybe set up wider to the right going into that complex left hander after the hairpin. Everywhere else I'm doing the right things. I'm going to have to revisit.

I think the couple of times I tried watching those guides, it made me worse for some reason.

I think the only time I looked at one before was trying to figure out how you guys were going so fast on some track haha.

Of the two I watched for GV, the one guy drove like crap and still got gold by more than I did. The other guy looked a lot better and beat gold by almost 2.5sec! I'm definitely going to revisit..

Finally gathered the energy to complete the Neoclassic challenge. Had to de-tune the living crap out of 787B and it was mostly a waiting game for the last lap. Willow springs was easy. Redbull Ring was tricky and had to mess with the front and rear downforce in order to get less power restriction. The Fuji race was challenging in the sense that I had to time the tire change to Intermediates just at the right time.

Now off to the prototype series. I did a couple of laps on Daytona with the Toyota GR1 and Im having a hard time with the blind spots, left turns are particularly a bit challenging.
