Made My Own SRS Delete Kit

After seeing the SRS delete kits out there, I decided to make my own.

I didn't feel too confident in the DIY kits I've seen, especially the ones that just shove the resistor in and tape it down.

I went with OEM connectors and the actual pin terminals for a TRUE plug-and-play type kit.

As shown in the image, I even used the sealing plug that was used in the previous connector as well...well, not that one, but the OEM sealing plug.

Do you have any documentation of the wiring you'd be willing to share? I'm doing something similar with my LS swap and any help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, that's not a problem...

I am basically just using the OEM connectors as well as the appropriate pin terminal connectors as well.

OEM P/N - 90980-12697

Terminal P/N - .64mm / Sumitomo TS 025 Series male terminals. I went true OEM fashion and ordered the Gold plated terminals through Corsa-technic.

The best thing you can do if you have this chassis...study the wiring manual and the Toyota connectors manual.

Courtesy Light OEM Install

Got around to the doors this time around so I decided to install courtesy lights, however, the correct/OEM way.

While I was at it, of course I ditched the ugly ass OEM harness and made my own.

Using tefzel wire, brand new connectors, and pin terminals, I went ahead and wrapped it up in some contrasting tech flex loom...add a little bit of color lol.

I've seen some tap into the dome light, however the correct way is to follow the wiring diagram, which depicts the models with that light installed

Basically, all I did was purchase that 2 pin connector, the led lights, and wire it into the pre existing wire harness. Of course my model is missing those wires in the connector spot, so all I did was wire it in to those missing slots.

LoL, yeah, it's also helpful having my car stripped down to the frame 😅.

But yeah, it's not that difficult...just plan it out and you should be fine.

Just know that when I am completely done with this bad boy, I will build another, however, it will be a full YouTube series, from beginning to end type build .

Also, if I find time, I'll try to incorporate more instructions on how I did the courtesy lights.

Apparently that install caught several member's attention, and they were interested.

In the meantime, I recommend downloading the wiring diagram manual and familiarize yourself with the circuitry.

3rd Times a Charm LoL

A Thing Of Beauty!

Trust in the process, and it will come together.

Done wiring my driver side harness in absolute stealth mode 🥷

Yes, the second or third time was a charm.

This time around, I am using tefzel wire and went with all brand new connectors.

Driver Door Harness Completed Today

So I finished my driver door harness today

Again, all new tefzel wire, connectors, pin terminals, and loom.

Up next, I still need to install my Focal door speakers, dynamat the door, then seal it with weather proof plastic.

One body panel at a time, but I'm chugging along.
