I don't know, personally 86 shine the most to me on a proper canyon road with banks & it's kind of a middle of no where sport car anywhere else. I need you to go do a drive video on Mt. passes man, been waiting for it since you started your channel. but ya after I went to pick up a GT4 with my friend last October & drive it around for a day. Frankly it made me apricate the car more, you get lots feel for paying so much less.

Didn't think you would reply. happy to see you here again.

The new one should be pretty good, but ya it's a Subaru. I 'd wait 5 years.

Toyota can do it pretty easily if they want but the car is made by Subaru. If battery weight/price isn't a issue Toyota have compact electric motor that gives out around 35hp can go on each axel/wheel. They can add around 100 hp ...with AWD.

It makes you wonder if there will be enough time ever for a hybrid version.

We are 8 years away from the big bans from large markets to start. This car already sell very few cars, and it a dedicated platform.

I can't see it happening. Full electric sports car one day for sure, but its going to be a different experience - faster yes, but way way more automation.

That's the big question to me. It seems tight, but if they want to badly enough they can do it. IF they want to give the ICE a last hurrah by squeaking it past regulations as a hybrid, I think it would a very cool car. It may not make financial sense, but then again neither did building the twins in the first place. Sounds like this project is still a passion project, so I'm hoping there is still a desire to get an ICE facelift in under the wire.

From the shots under the car I noticed the factory catback now has flanges to enter the canister in the center like the TRD exhaust vs off to the right.

What's interesting is the dyno of 209hp/ 175 torque vs the 162hp/ 130 torque of the new vs 2020.

That's a massive 47hp - math is hard /45ft-lb improvement. Well above what is shown on paper.

The engine must be making a lot more power than advertised.

You would not believe how many Ferraris I own and how I have VIP status at my local Walmart. I get 5% off garbage bags. Next level.

Exactly, this car may not have the old school charm of s2000 or the Miata smile factor, it will exceed the S2000 and Miatas performance in almost every condition with the usual aftermarket bolt ons, and for far less money than the previous generation car. I'd buy one instantly if I was in the place to own a car like this again, it will make so many people happy.

THE KING IS BACK GUYS

What's crazy is the area under the curve. At 3000rpm there is a 60wtq difference.

Around 175 to 115.

Going by the Japanese dyno numbers it honestly just looks like we have that 10% missing from the dyno. I'm assuming Australia will be the same, as usual.

Just as a disclaimer its in the video but the car was a pre production car, so I dont want to be a debbie downer but its possible its a ringer and tuning will be different for final version.
