Just got smogged today. They questioned the sound tube because I don't know where the rubber grommet is and it came out on my drive over. But they passed me after talking to them so all good in the end. Glad I took my catch cans out instead of just leaving them disconnected though.

Mine is Due in July. Going to get in done in early July. I will put my stock header back on and have my shop remove the Flex Fuel Sensor and added fuel lines along with removing the evap wire into the ECU for its 5volt.

Just curious, are you gonna put it back after smog, and keep doing that every year?

Yeah, I'll deal with it every other year. Driving the car daily with even less power sucks lol

Pretty sure a standard OFT tune doesn't disable O2 and evap. I don't want to have to go through all the bother with my Tactrix.

I am avoiding smog. Blew my motor lol

Working on a K24 swap. Car got registered in a smog exempt area of California. I will see if that worked when I get my registration. Should be able to file and exemption if it doesn't.

I had to smog my brz at a STAR smog location so I put the exhaust back to stock except for the catback. Brz is currently on the oft stage 1 tune. Pulled up and was in and out within 10 mins. Passed with flying colors.

I read this month inspectors will be flagging tuned ECUs. Anybody got any inspections done on their tuned cars yet with this new rule in effect?

Somebody had a CARB EcuTek tune and ran into issues, but they got it sorted out with a second test station. I haven't done mine yet.

I got my renewal today, and I don’t need to smog. Registered the car at my parents place in a smog exempt area, but had my mail go to my “temporary” address.

To go back to the Edelbrock CARB tune, I have to reinstall the stock injectors and remove the flex fuel kit and d-box... I just bought a spare ECU just in case they look at flash counts too.
