You can use a regular allen wrench or one of the allen headed sockets (which I prefer).

I used them no problems, even took the bolt out to put some blue loctite on it with them. If you leave the shifter in neutral or put it in 5th/6th it gives u more room.

I just installed the kit tonight and am having similar amounts of slack as mentioned in one of the earlier videos. Does anyone have some tips for tightening the adapter bolt? That one was a PITA to tighten and it looks like I need to tighten it even more.

Just keep on it until you see it stick out about 2 to 3 lines of threads.

mine had enough slack, and eventually i could not get into 1st or 2nd. turned out the bolt backed out. you may need to add red loctite, as what it came with did not work.

Figured out I made a mistake in installing the adapter initially, fixed it and now the slack is largely gone. Feels great and was just what I was looking for

I'm using red loctite and it's much better now. I think I went an entire month without the bolt coming too loose.

Glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Does anyone know if Toyota has a fix? I did notice that when moving the shifter, the bolt rubs on the bottom input shaft causing the bolt to turn.
