I took the FRS off of my trunk the day I took the car home. It just looked so tacky to me.

No still waiting. I called and asked that they inform me when they ship it. They assured me that they would be in contact before it ships. How about you did your arrive? I used the cheap harbor freight bits they cut surprisingly well. I used a 90 deg cordless drill for the tunnel.

Nope, I'm still waiting as well. I decided not to bug them about it...yet. My harbor freight didn't carry bits, so I had to order mine...twice. I don't have an 90 deg drill, so I'm making due with Dewalt drill.

You can get a cheap angle adapter that's made for impact guns and run it on your DeWalt drill. Milwaukee makes one and a few other brands.

For those hard to reach/drill spot-welds chuck one of these up in a die grinder:

I have a feeling you are right. I might as well start engineering something myself.

You could. But why? They have already started production of the kit, and it will be for sale soon. @wooly35 and myself have already ordered the transmission they put together for the swap. We are both prepping our cars getting them ready for the release of the parts.

The only way I was going to fabricate my own mounts was if they took loger to start selling the kit than it takes me to save and buy all the parts i need to complete the swap minus the mounts. So that would be March 2017.

It would be fun to make everything myself but time consuming to get it to the level of perfection I would want, and im sure a little frustrating at times. Vorshlag has it figured out, and it is the best kit your going to find. Good luck now matter how you go about your swap.

EXCUSE ME GENTLEMEN!........THIS IS NOT VORSHLAGS THREAD,....THIS IS MY THREAD!........I'm hoping by sharing my experiances with my build it wlll help and facilitate others who want to do the same.......should we pick and choose what threads that you may have started and ask the mods to delete yours posts and threads?......nobody posts only all products that ard paid advertisers to ft86.....nobody....for me its American Racing Headers....Magna Flow....Tremec......MRS Electronics......Vorshlag and others......so your prerequiste to post here is that all products have to be paid advertisers?........if thats the case this forum would die quickly.
