when i put on the sc, the engine movement of the stock mounts was enough to make the ic piping rub in spots.

Pretty nice. I also ended up doing something similar. I ended up plastering my lower sub frame and mounts with [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00029KC2K"]stick-on heat shielding I got off Amazon[/ame]. Pretty good stuff. I covered the plastic cover by the control arm too in the stuff. Unfortunately I sort of blew up the motor at the track recently and am in the process of swapping motors and going back NA for now....

I used thermaflect tape for my oil pan and honestly thought about doing the same and saving myself the hassle of going w/ the blanket.. curious how the tape has held onto the mounts themselves as they deflect a little.. care to snap some pics and add your insights to the DIY thread? would love to see it

The vast majority of the tape is attached to the subframe. And there is a small section that covers the mount on the face pointing towards the exhaust. It's not going anywhere any time soon. I'll see if I can not get a good picture of it when I get home later.

What I did was wrap them with DEI wrap, and held it in place with wire. I don't have pics
