That's awesome. I'll definitely look into the Rent-a-car thing with Toyota.

As long as the tattoo is referring to Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, and And Justice for All.

And not Load.

Underpanels have been standard since the 2017 MidCycle change, so they should be easy to get!

Just curious, but how different is the tuning of the SACHS dampers on the tS model as compared to the Performance Pack? I've read the literature that says the tS models are tuned different, but I wasn't sure if that was compared to the standard BRZ or one with a PP.

I'm pretty sure this is only true for the BRZ just so people know. The 86 still doesn't come with them IIRC.

The 2018 86 GT has them IIRC.

In retrospect, if you can get a tS for about $34k, that is a good/ fair deal. The suspension to me, is #1 top main thing you're paying for, that definitely adds value. Suspension parts+ paying Subaru to tune that....is probably in the relm of $2k- 2500. So add that to a price of a PP = $31.5. The other parts ( mainly cosmetic) add some value . Plus like others said, the labor involved with putting those parts on then creates further value
The reality is that you can get a Limited with PP for $26-27k pretty easily and the tS will be $34-35k... so the difference is more like $8k. Unless you really want the exclusivity of a limited run model like the tS, that $8k premium for the tS is hard to justify.

They're valved slightly different to match the different spring rates on the tS. Not a big change, but different than the PP. Part numbers are different, fwiw.
