Can anyone suggest an Auto Glass shop?

Hey guys my car was broken into last night and the passenger side window is gone. Can anyone suggest an auto glass shop? It seems to be pretty hard to find a shop that can get our windows

The one person in this world that has the most experience with glass shops is your insurance agent. Give him a call and he can probably put you on the right track. While you're talking to him make sure it isn't covered by your auto policy. Many policies have zero deductible for glass loss and a comprehensive claim would not have any impact on your premium.

Yeah I called my insurance to see if I was covered and it would only be coverage for my windshield. Anything else is below my deductable ($500) so I would have to pay out of pocket. Thanks guys

The glass itself is almost about 500 from Toyota if I recall. Subaru is just under 400. So if you have a shop do it it may be worth it to have insurance take care of some of it for labor cost.

What city are you in?

Glass shops don't have access to aftermarket glass for our cars yet. The glass has to come from the dealer.

If you're in SF give me a call at The Garage www.thegaragesf.com

I've had to replace a couple of windows on my car already. I found that the glass was cheaper from Toyota.

I need a new windshield... I don't care about it having blemishes so I was thinking about just having the crack filled.

I fear my windshield doesn't have more than another year and half left in it with sand pitting and chips taking over.. Are there any coatings/techniques to help the pitting?

When i had my windshield crack i just called my insurance and recommended me to have it fixed at saflite at SJ. They used OEM windshield as a replacement and insurance asked for $250, i guess it was covered.
