The real problem is not your existential crisis, but when other people are raising concerns and ridiculate someone if he claims that he gained 25% in acceleration. It is not really something that big and given the low power figures of our cars some external car enthousiasts would really laugh of all these lengthy discussions. Same for the wheels and tire discussions where the total difference in performance is not that big and after a point you need larger displacement engines to talk about real differences and performance!
