Agreed. I think you can actually use a 12pt socket though. It's an E10 if it helps you

Get a good set of easy outs. Or you'll be welding a nut on them

They changed to a normal 6 point bolt in 2017. I think even Subaru realized the error of their ways.

When I needed to pull the seats on my 2015, I had to buy a 3/8" long handle breaker bar to use with the E10 socket. Then, with that, I was able to carefully remove them all.

Installed a few parts of the holiday weekend: Verus non-aggressive rear diffuser, two-piece front splitter, race upgrade, and end plates, replaced my Invidia catless front pipe (not letting go) with a JDL ultra-quiet catted front pipe (heat wrapped too). Also, replaced a few under-panels that were damaged from road debris.

I'm so glad to get rid of the drone. It was starting to get old on long commutes to work. As far as the aerodynamic additions, there was a big noticeable difference in handling as the ride is a lot smoother now at higher speeds. Other things I worked on was removing old adhesive from wheel weights and rotated tires. Overall it was a productive weekend even though it was 175 degrees in the Texas heat in the shade with multiple fans running.

Had to get my fuel pump fixed because of a weird squeak/cricket noise after a week of ownership Also still trying to fix a rattle in the right rear of the car that I cannot figure out although it isn't too terrible, just rather annoying

Is there no permanent fix? As in do all owners have this issue?

It's a lottery. Some do, some don't. Some claim ethanol free gas fixes it. Some even added oil to their gas (I can't recommend that). It's annoying but I think it gives the car character too. It's the piston seal on the high pressure fuel pump that chirps. You'd think Toyota would have gotten that fixed by now

When I was under my car this weekend I noticed lots of little pebbles poking through odd holes in various supports and braces, even one of my LCAs. I used a small flat head screwdriver and knocked them out. One other time I found a few hard pieces of dog food in the trunk and a 9mm shell casing. That took forever to find and annoyed my every turn. Anyways, these cars sound like a tin can, especially when there is a foreign object hidden somewhere.

I had an annoying rattle in the rear as well. Realized it was just my license plate cover moving around one time when I was sitting in the car engine off on a windy day.
