Yes I used a 120 grit to grind down the roughest of the plastic weld then I moved to 220. After that, and for the final step, I used this green sponge like sanding instrument to polish it even more. The paint job is really in the sanding, the second paint goes on all the prep work instantly shows.

But nonetheless great job sir, i commend you. Hopefully u didnt get too much of a clearcoat line. Those are impossible to prevent.
Bondo filler is great, however, after doing some research and looking up some information, it seemed as though plastic weld worked best with plastic, where as bondo works best with metal. I just wanted to use something that would create a super strong bond with the plastic and that would't flake during sanding.

I did get a slight clear coat line, though I think after a good wash and possibly some wet sanding it should look good enough.
