this is old thread again but i also have similar problem with OP
i have southbend stg2 clutch with Verus fork and pivot

I just engage to 1st gear when comes to near stop to avoid getting stuck at traffic.
if i put some pressure and it goes in but dont want to break anything.
sometimes it goes in but sometimes are not.
when i replaced new motul gear fluid, felt like it reduced symptoms but it still there.
i might have to try with different transmission fluid
