Used OFT
If I buy a used OFT, can I still purchase a custom tune from them? Running an aftermarket CAI (grimmspeed) and catted UEL headers (FT86) and read that I'm definitely going to need a custom tune.

Yes. Better be sure it's unmarried if you buy it used, otherwise you'll have a bad time.

Around $400 for the V2. Better off getting the V1 imo. I have the V1, only improvements the V2 has is faster processor for uploading maps and bigger touch screen I believe. After you're done tuning you don't really use it again unless you're using it to monitor stuff.

Yep, still an option. All you're doing is uploading a map, hit record, do a pull, save the pull, plug it into the computer to download the log and then send it to him. I got my V1 on here for the rare price of around $265. He looks over the tables, tells you to do another pull, then sends you a map to upload. Rinse, repeat. Afterwards he says everything looks good and you're done. Afterwards you store the OFT away since if it gets stolen I heard it's a pain. Can't sell it because it's married to your car, unless you want to get off OFT and go with EcuTek or revert to stock/sell the car. Keep in mind though he takes a long time to review the log. I think it's around 1-2 weeks before he gets around to me.

Check Facebook group pages. They list quite often, but the groups are kinda big too. So if it's a good price, it'll disappear quick. I got mine on OfferUp for $300 shipped for a v1. Kinda scary buying a used one online tbh. Can't be sure if it's married or not until you plug it in.

Yep and it'll cost almost the same to get them to erase it if you send it in to OFT. Basically buy used from reputable websites, have paypal/cc protection.
