It is possible but I would turn this job down as it would be the most expensive spoiler cap ever. There is a minimum of 3 hours to scan, model, slice and finish this small part that also has very little demand for additional sales.

Contact a junkyard or salvage reseller to see if you can get some of those or a whole wing for less than Subaru.

Mine are getting loose. I've resulted to new clamps but I am running out of inner plastic real estate. They get loose when the car is washed or rains. There is a demand if people know about these. I know a bunch of people that would buy including myself!

Do they serve a purpose where you would need to remove them? Seems like a little JBWeld or superglue would fix the problem if not.

Funny you say JBweld I thought about this myself! I've only had to remove mine when I decided to first raise the spoiler and then had to repair the 3M tape on the lip spoiler I have on mine. So I've had to remove it 3 times total - Wing risers, initial install of the lip spoiler, then a year later when I did the repair. Just like that its a little loose

Heck, if its something you have to remove just a little hot glue might be good enough.

It would definitely be possible to 3D print that - the trick would be modeling it.

There's 2 ways: someone measures that with calipers and builds a model in 3D from those measurements, or someone uses a fairly expensive 3D scanner to automatically generate a 3D model.

Once that's done the printing is fairly trivial.

You just want to make sure the part is printed using weather-proof material (common PLA is, at least theoretically, biodegradable and will break down in UV light). A standard FDM printer will leave visible layer lines, but depending on the Z-axis resolution used, the quality of the printer, and the final location of the part (I'm not familiar with where it goes) that may be reduced or unimportant.

I would say for something like that the better option would be using a cheap(ish) hobby CNC to make aluminum molds for a cheap(ish) injection molder built out of a manual hobby hydraulic press.

Since it's going to be clearly visible the layer lines you'll get from 3D printing would be a detraction for most people, and sanding/filling those lines to eliminate them would be labor-intensive.

Alternately, simply milling them out of aluminum might be preferred. Simpler process overall, and thus potentially competitive in terms of price. Also opens up the possibility of anodized finishes in addition to the typical paint options. And being made out of aluminum with that "bling" factor would support the higher per-pair cost.

Anyone able to make these for brake duct entry?

*edit: This was 3D printed by a guy who only made it for his car and his friend, seems to fit perfectly and with the option of printing it to various duct sizes.

He was not interested in making more for others unfortunately.

If you have calipers and can take complete measurements, I could duplicate it.

Need ID, OD, and height of each section.

I do not have these ducts myself. The photos are by the guy who 3D printed it.

I could make a rough approximation based on photos and the dimensions of the part they fit into, maybe.

Side Marker Delete STL file

Hey all!

Been searching for the STL file for side marker deletes for a while. Wasn't sure if anyone on here happened to have the file for it. I would really appreciate it!
