He pretty much said just that.

He also mentions he likes the car to be a bit loose, and his setup combined with very high track temps made the car tricky to drive as the tires got too hot and his driving style tends to put more temp in the rears too.

Wow. Ferrari looked like they had the quali pace by a good margin and Russel put in a hero lap. I want to see that onboard.

Verstappen had a PU issue. Loss of power. Don’t know what Perez’s deal was. Lewis had DRS issue.

Saw that. Unlucky day, PU issue for Verstappen and Magnusen on the Apex for Sergio.

Sainz and Norris did really well. Alpine seems to be almost there, need to improve reliability and they would be a threat to Norris.

George really wanted this one, but 3rd was nice, good clean scrapping stuff with Charlie.
Like the move RIC did on both Alpines that were fighting each other!
Ferrari strategist still not 100%, lacking, with slow pit stops.
Good recovery from RB.

Max's Spin and Win reminded me of Danny Sullivan's at the 85 Indy, (albeit much slower).

Ferrari dropped the ball yet again.

On the other hand, Max started 10th and even with a PU issue and clutch slip issue early on AND a spin, he managed 1st. Apart from the spin, it was a flawless drive. Now 80pts ahead in the drivers Championship and RB has pulled away to 97pts over Ferrari.

Also glad to see that the new cars could much more easily follow closely, leading to plenty of passing. What a race. Much more exciting than I expected.

All true. I was impressed with just how bad the hard tires were. For everyone who fitted them they were pretty much boat anchors.

Well that did not take long to find out who will replace Vettel!

Next few years should be interesting for us with the expected Papa Stroll & ALO discussions…
I was under the impression ALO was still comfortable with Alpine.
