Seat-cover recomendations?

The vinyl part of my driver-side bolster is torn and I have to do something. The Sard Racing covers are advertised as "PVC leather" which is actually vinyl and I think would be a lot hotter than actual leather. A Katzkin set installed would be about $1500. I don't want to do the install myself. I had a set of Kazkin leathers in one of my Miatas, and the driver seat took on a very different appearance from the seldom-used passenger seat. I used various treatments, including Lexol which I think is the best, but couldn't get them to look alike.

I'd be interested in what others have done.

I've done the DAMD Vantage seat covers in tan. Here they are on my page

https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...=116871&page=3

Couldn't be happier with them 6 years on. Easy to install, look amazing and really elevate the interior and the car itself into something much more special.

86worx.com currently has an open box one for a good price. DM them

Thanks,
I see they have them in black also, and the centers are perforated which should help make them cooler..

I've had the SARD racing seat covers from 86worx on mine since 2017. Still 9.5/10 condition after 100k kms of seat time.

DAMD appear to have very similar construction just no SARD branding.

https://www.86worx.com/sard-racing-seat-covers.html

Interestingly the photos on their site don't show them perforated, but the description says so and mine definitely are

Looks like that's a good way to go.

Lol I know right? I wish I could have ordered just the front, but I guess it looks better to have them all consistent. I've had someone in the passenger side rear seat 2 times in the 5 years I've had the car. I'm too tall to have someone sitting behind me. I usually have the seats down anyways for hauling stuff around.

My very good local upholsterer will replace the torn vinyl side panel for $265. Everything else is fine and I'll still have the stock appearance. Car has 56K on it now and the Alacantara still looks great, despite my not cleaning it as often as I should. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well the Alicantara wears.

I have the SARD covers as well and they still look great. No one can tell they are covers until I mention it. I bought them for around $400 from a member here a few years ago. They are perforated and cool off quickly if you leave the car in the sun.

That's worth considering. Thanks.
