Thank you! I'm a lifelong enthusiast and photography student. Light is everything.

With digital photography, I'll take dozens of pics of the same subject using bracketing of variables then choose from them. On average, I'll get 1-2 acceptable shots per 100 exposures. Then restrain edits in post, especially HDR, to avoid an artificial look.

I have a fair amount of gear but the latest high end smartphones are pretty much all you need with the right light.

This is Cali, originally my fiancées cat. Cali seems to much prefer me 51% of the time.

Excuse the desk mess, I’m lazy.

Our Newfie sleeps in that position pushed up against our sectional couch when we're watching TV.

Princess does it either in the corner, or the corner of the couches, all spread eagle on her back during the day. At night she sleeps in her crate in the bedroom. I think she feels comfortable in her new home.

How big is your Newfie? The puppy charts estimate Princess at 92lbs. What was I thinking!

She ranges between 110 and 120lbs depending on how active she's been. The one we had before her weighed closer to 150lbs.

Re-post pic from another thread before I saw this one. This is his "cool down" corner where he lays on hot days over the a/c floor vent. Yet on cold days he'll lay in front of the blazing gas fireplace ears back in a trance-like state.

It's a struggle managing my boy's weight even with 2X daily 2-mile walks. He's become a portly lad even with carefully regulated calorie intake. His breeder says I feed him too much but he's at the lowest end of the range at 800 cal/day of premium Rx foods. Maybe it comes with age...like me.

Newfies, for their size, don't eat very much. Ours eats about 2 cups a day, and sometimes doesn't finish that. They also are pretty inactive, a two mile walk would probably make her collapse. In my experience, they are good for about 10 minutes of moderate to heavy exercise, then they need a nap.
