installed ebc yellow stuff, brakes dragging

I installed ebc yellow stuff along with stoptech lines today.

The front calipers were very hard to get back on even though the pistons were entirely
compressed. After managing to get them on and bolted down the front rotor would not turn. I bolted everything back up and flushed/bled the system. Driving it home the brakes felt like they were dragging and I could smell them cooking.

What should I do, I am pretty sure the pads are just too thick, should I take it easy on speed and let them wear down? Has anyone else used ebc yellow stuff? Did you have this problem?

Thanks.

So a followup.

That post was after the initial ~20mile trip home. Today after another 20mile trip the brakes were not overly hot (put my hand close to the rotor) and there was no smell of cooking brakes. By 70miles after the change they had loosened up completely and the car will now roll at a stoplight.
