Once you take a stock car to the limits on the track, every second gained will cost about a grand. FI about 2 grand

OP. If I had the choice I’d get the Supra. Factory turbo solution and a warranty IMO is better.

Total cost for jackson racing sc with engine oil cooler and factory tune was 5k for me. Self installed. Did it with free shipping, no tax, 5% black friday discount and $500 cashback credit card offer. Car running good overall with roughly 40k miles and 60+ track days since install 20 months ago.

Also consider the Nissan Z400?
Test drive them all and decide

The 2.0 Supra is just not worth the price they are asking. If your semi handy with cars, get the twin boosted. But beware its a rabbit hole. It will not just stop at the SC kit. If this car is mostly street driven, get the eddlebrock kit. JCR c30/c38 is better for track builds.

not quite the same but i sold my brz since i had an elise. i figured id swap a balanced car since i had two for a power car. now i have a 560 rwhp c6 corvette. sure its super numb around a corner but its a total giggle machine. i think if you want more power than what headers and e85 do, theres a better car for the job.

I have done the whole force the power to the max in a car not designed for that in the past and will never go that route again. If I decide I need more power I will buy a car built for that level in the first place. I don't need the headaches any more!

Definitely get a better car unless you are good enough at mechanicing to do the install yourself and deal with all the other crap that comes with having a highly modified car.
A c8 would be the car on my radar in that class, and it blows the Supra out of the water. |

Never had it. Never knew anybody with a first gen 6 bolt that did.
It didn't become a "common" issue until the 7 bolt "improved" engine came out. Even then it wasn't as common as the internet now makes it seem.

I can't remember if that was before or after he did a small turbo upgrade. Probably the latter. Fun car for 300hp. |
