Lmao no stock STI has EVER had a 4.2 0-60 time. Advertised was always like 4.6 to 5. If you redline clutch dump and nail both shifts, you can get like 4.6 to 4.9 or so depending on conditions, but for most people in a real world scenario, you're looking at 5 to 5.5.

If people are gonna bench race, they might as well get the stats they're spouting off, correct.

Not to mention the fact, that in a perfect world, even if it happens. I would expect a car with more displacement to pull those numbers against a little 3 cyl 1.6.
That guy has always been like that, total one-upper. Glad I don’t work with him anymore.

But you have to live life knowing you're #3 of the first 86 and not #1. How can you even live?

interesting. so toyota doesn't seem to have a lot of faith in this going anywhere?

it's also interesting because historically, toyota's always offered a 'wilder' array of colors with new releases, and then tames the colors down to black/red/white later on after production matures...

though i guess this is more of a special edition, and less of a new model...

it's why i sought out an '18 tacoma specifically. by '19, they discontinued the inferno orange. was really only a few-year color option before production went bland.

wouldn't an MR2 require an entirely new platform? i guess they could potentially adapt one of their existing platforms, but it would still require a lot of ground-up engineering, and i just don't see toyota investing that much into a one-off.. even this special edition, they can't be bothered to bring out the flashy colors...

yeah, um, unless everyone's wearing a teenie weenie polka dot bikini, and no beach towels, they ain't fitting.

put 5 of my 250 pound selves in a corolla and you won't be able to close the rear doors...

if i'm not mistaken, cruel and unusual punishment is covered in the 8th amendment, and applies to both spectators eyes, as well as the 5 participants you're forcing to wear bikini's...
