This looks perfect! Thanks for posting. I plan to go with this exact setup, just with a 17" wheel. Seems like 8" wheel with +35 and maybe a 1" drop would be the perfect OEM+ set up.

I put my SPC RLCA for a pre '22 on my '22 today. Here's what I found.

Firstly, they fit! Now the shock bolt hole is about half a hole or so inboard of the stock arm. The shock ends up sitting a bit more upright. Now I don't know if this was the same on the pre '22 models.

First I've heard of this--interesting. This would change the wheel rate of any spring...

Looks great, thanks for the detailed photos. will be even better with some lowering and and a little bit more negative camber.

Your photos make me think that something like an 18x8 +45 would work well on a car that won’t be lowered, or lowered with OEM camber maintained.

Amazing info. Thanks for sharing.

I am pretty sure the cam bolt should be into the frame side...not at the trailing arm end.

It might slightly change it, but will it be enough to really make a difference?

The cam bolt is installed correctly.

You are right, it goes in the slotted hole.

Hey guys, bit the bullet and bought some wheels/tires for the cold weather.

Apex Arc-8 17x9 ET42 with Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 in 245/40/17. it's an 8" tread width so narrower than some other tires.

They'll uhhh... *technically* fit and clear the struts on stock suspension. No rubbing full lock turning. I haven't been able to drive enough to see if it will rub under high compression but my gut says it shouldn't.

The first photo is with a 3mm spacer, and the second photo with the tire mounted is no spacer at all. little too much poke with the space for my liking.

Coilovers have been moved to the top of the "next thing to mod" list.

Did you install ARP extended studs? I got the same wheels and realized yesterday that I was "only" getting 8 full turns when tighting the lug nuts and thats with no spacers.

No studs, still using the factory ones. I didn't think about counting the turns since I wasn't using a spacer, but I also didn't count the turns with the stock wheel either. I'd be curious to see what it is on a stock wheel with no spacer.

Only whatever camber is provided by the stock suspension as set by Subaru, which I presume to be little or none.

It would definitely look better with -2.0 degrees to tuck the wheel into the fender a bit more.

Your bottom picture looks very reminiscent of what my first gen looked like with 18x8.5 +48 before I put coilovers on.

Nothing ever rubbed at the track when I ran it so I'm hoping that the same will be true for the new car since I'm planning on keeping the suspension stock.

I have the same SPC arms we will try on our 2022 when putting in the coilovers. Did you happen to measure the distance between the subframe attachment point and the shock and knuckle attachments points between the SPC and 2022 arms?
