Guys I need your help. I'm about to pull the trigger on either the Tanabe concept G or the HKS Hi power single exit V1 or V2.

I want something with a deep tone and I want it to be a bit loud but not too loud since I DD my car. I don't have a chance to hear any of them in person but based on the videos on YouTube sometimes one sounds better than the other and I'm really having hard time to decide between the two.

PS: I'm on stock front pipe and stock headers.

Thanks in advance.

Hi-Power V2 is on mine. Super quiet and daily friendly with everything else stock. Its a 3" pipe coated grey and a 4.5" tip. It looks super aggressive. Also, its only $525 shipped new.

Do u have any sound clips? Does it have a deep tone? And if you heard any of the two in person a short comparison would be appreciated. I'm literally about to order the Tanabe concept G for 535$.

I’ve been between the new Remark quad tip or either of these single exits. I want to be different and not have a dual exit because I’m a rebel lmao I feel like the quad tip is a bit on the ricey side thoughts?

I have the Tanabe Concept G catback with everything else being stock. In my experience, it is significantly louder than the stock exhaust, but is not loud enough that you need to bump up the volume on your radio or yell over the sound. I'm actually disappointed it isn't a little louder (probably me just being a ricer), but regardless, it's a decent choice for a lightweight yet quiet exhaust.

Can't speak for the HKS exhausts, but given that they are extremely similar in terms of weight and price, my suggestion go with whichever you can find for cheaper.

I went with the Concept G I got a good price on it. It will arrive in a few days. I believe the HKS is louder from what I've red online. Anyways I appreciate the help.

Good choice; it's a decent exhaust. You might also want to consider a diffuser to address the empty space in the bumper, though.

I ordered the bumper delete for the passenger side which will make it look way better.

Not exactly what I was referring to. The axleback portion of the stock exhaust also doubled as a "diffuser" of sorts. When removed, there's a big empty space where air can get trapped inside the bumper, creating drag.

I haven't noticed any difference in the car's behavior and I'm still getting decent MPG after the exhaust install, so it may not be that big of a deal. It could be something to consider if you plan on tracking your car.

Ohh I got u now. Ya I was kind of concerned about that but according to u any many others online that there isn't that much difference. Gotta see once I install it I guess.

I have the Tanabe with a Borla UEL and absolutely love the way it sounds.

Before it I had an Invidia N1 and the drone was unbearable, did a lot of research and asking around and settled on the Tanabe as a replacement and could not be happier. There is still a bit of drone but it can't even begin to compare to the Invidia, and the exhaust note outside the car is much improved. If you're on a stock header I'd be surprised if you experience any drone at all.

As for the diffuser, I've considered getting a mild one for the reasons stated above, but I don't think it's crucial. I did two long track days last year as well and never noticed any unusual noise/vibration/behavior. No noticeable change in MPG with it either.

Here's a short clip from right after I installed it.
