rather 20K-ish, otherwise it wont be able to compete at all with the hot hatches, and with 20K US dollar range in mind that definatly is possible, since an euro nowadays is worth alot more than a dollar

I guess, it´s closer to the 30s than to the 20s. Especially the germans fool themselfs by paying ludicrous high prices for cars. Even for the german cars! Totally regardless to the dollar.
I´ve made a little comparison for another forum that qould fit here nicely, too (starting prices, 1€=1,43$): VW Golf GTI USA: 24k$ / 17€ DE: 28k€ Difference:11k€ /15k-ish$ (!!!) Toyota Yaris, smallest engines: USA: 1.5 106HP 13155$ (9400€) DE: 1.33 VVT-i 14330€ Difference: ~4k€ / 6k$ And the GTI is considered more/less as direct competitor to the FT-86. Also, the "german" Mazda Miata is priced between 25k and 30k €, the Mazda 3 MPS is ~28k€. All those cars cost between 20k and 25k $ in the USA. I think, the german price of the FT-86 is mostly predictable to sth. between 25k and 30k €, somewhat 5-10k$ more than in the USA. For exactly the same car, if we stick to Todo-san! My own, private guess is 25990€ with uni paint +shipping, including some wishful thinking. But i´d totally party hard if it´s ~22k€ or less |

i'm realy hoping for a 25k pricetag including some interior/exterior gimmicks. so 22k for a base model.
levi, only a reasonable price will make this car a hit. 30k is too much for a small 200hp coupe. |

I hope the base price will be under 25.000 €. Like this I'll have enough for mods.
