Yeah Hamilton had murder in his eyes. Will be a very interesting opening lap tomorrow...

During Q1 Matchett said Ham's clutch was acting up during standing starts. If it isn't fixed, he better watch out for Ricciardo and Vettel. Grosjean, Bottas and Massa must be wondering what to do about Maldonado tomorrow.

I'm getting tired of Ham's shitty attitude and tendency to question his team and Nico's judgement. He chose the team and although he prolly was robbed of pole today, it didn't appear intentional like Schumi did in the past. Plus his outburst claiming childhood poverty compared to his teammate makes him more deserving is bull. He's a multimillionaire, world champion and with a top tier team. Hey Lewis, just shut up, grow up, play with Nicole tonight and show us if you deserve a clean win tomorrow.

Whatever happens, I hope it's not another red flag that determines the race outcome.

Weather forecast is about the same as today with only a 25% chance of rain during race time.

FTFY.

The moment Rosberg locked up, at a runoff area, I knew it was an identical maneuver to that of Schumacher when he did the same thing in T1 in qual to ensure his pole position time would stand.

Zeee Germans can be a crafty bunch. Even Hamilton, in an interview afterwards, said: "I didn't know he was going to do that, but I should have seen it coming."

Now Hamilton says that he's going to "handle" his teammate in the same manner "Senna dealt with Prost." I sense that doesn't mean Senna-Prost @ Monaco but more like Senna-Prost Suzuka.

Would lose all respect for Hammy if he does something like that and I would hope Merc would sit him out a couple races as a penalty.

Lewis should suck it up and take it like a man. In every normal race, he has beaten Nico handily, even with tire and strategy deficits. Even if Nico wins this one, Lewis has shown a better, more versatile, and more adaptable driving style. He should have no problem walking away with the championship this year as long as his car remains reliable.

Knowing what we know abt Monaco--it's pretty much Rosberg's race to lose @ this point.

That's why Hami is so pissed, obviously--no place to pass in an equal car, much less a far superior one, and a very unwilling leader... lol

I'll watch it again, since I only watched it the one time, live, but I can't believe that Rosberg did it on purpose. It looked way too fast an close to be on purpose. He nearly crashed, didn't he? Didn't look anything like Schumacher, which was so clearly deliberate, I heard he had offers from a bunch of pro football clubs throughout Europe.

Anybody who's followed Lewis and seen how valuable early season development is since 2009 knows that the car's stability won't be the reason Hamilton fails, it'll be his own.

Hell, he'd be a two time champion if he wasn't trying to gain a couple tenths going into the pits his first season. Absolutely a mistake most would make but so easily preventable...

Watching the race now.

I love Monaco, but the lack of sound is depressing. Basically it's a soundless race with the only audible thing being the announcers.

How long before the honchos at MB sit them both down and tell them to relax their shenanigans when they're on live TV? These 2 guys are representing a big car manufacturer and you just have to wonder how many people say to themselves that they wouldn't buy a Mercedes because of their attitudes?

A: The cars could literally emulate the actual voice of God and the Monaco Grand Prix would still be the most boring race on the calendar. As Matchett stated between telling us about how the tires are round, black and made of rubber: "The last 50 out of 60 Monaco Grand Prixs, the winner was started in the top three." Basically that's a nice way of saying.. "you've seen qualifying so no point in watching the race.. did you know the Indy 500 is on!?"

B: The problem with the announces being so audible is that they're NBC announcers. They're always over hyping, non-hype-able stuff, blowing everything way out of proportion and they're afraid to ever say anything intelligent.. because you know.. 'Murica.

Download the SkySports broadcast and having to "hear the announcers" will be revolutionary experience for you.

Lovely display by Raikkonen in an otherwise mediocre race, better than I would have expected though, the Rosberg Hamilton drama is going to be a very interesting championship battle. Rosberg definitely has the chops to take home a title.

Love the torquey V6's, they haven't squirmed this much under power since the TC ban.

To be fair, Sky has it's fair amount of inane commentary too 'oh that's going to end in tears' 'that's not good for the tires' 'these points are critical' and I'd pay money for Brundle to go more than 10 minutes without talking about his glory days in F1. "Oh I was the reason Mclaren didn't win every race that season" "I remember when so and so got in trouble for that" "I've had dirt in MY eye"

Edit: Was on the last five laps as I posted this, goddamnit Kimi, still a good drive though and Ricciardo has proved he deserves a championship contending car.

Being a Kimi fan that was a tough one to watch. He seems to have the worst luck this year.

From 6th to 3rd off the start - puncture.
From 16th to 8th - tangle with kevin mag.
