Photoshoot locations in PDX?
Hello, anyone got ideas on nice spots for taking pictures of your car in the Portland area? No particular. It can be natural, scenic, or urban. Bonus if it contains little traffic or disturbance from other cars/people.
I usually go to the top floor of a parking structure but they are all closed now. |

I've never taken my car out for a shoot but can thinking about it. Off the top of my head I would say Germantown road on weekends, it's just Forest back there on either side of road so that would look cool.
On a clear day any road East of Gresham, past where residential areas turns into farm lands, should get you a gorgeous shot of your car with Mt hood in the background. It's looks like Mt hood is right there. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk |

St. Johns Bridge, underneath on the NE side.
Getting some morning sun on the blue superstructure. Might be some flowering shrubs around right now. Mt. Tabor park. Don't know if it's open right now. The rose gardens or Rocky Butte off of 205

Portland Women's Forum, in the parking area and along the road overlooking the Gorge.

I didn't join this forum until late last year. Anyone from Portland/NW planning on doing a 86 trip down or up the coast this summer? I was thinking about doing a Astoria to coos Bay run when the weather gets nice

I've done a video shoot near there of tugs and barges coming and going through the Bonneville Dam lock (with permission of DHS, they got excited about my innocent project and not in a good way). Think I'll go there tomorrow and check it out, I'm doing an eBike shoot at the dam to show a green hydro power tie-in and Bradford Island will be an interesting perspective. |

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I tried OMSI parking lot but the lots were closed off after hours. I also tried the gorge earlier in the month but the path to the Women's Forum was closed as well. However, it seems like they have reopened starting this week.
Haven't heard of Bradford Island before... Will have to check that out along the way with the Gorge. Weather is finally looking good so maybe I can take the chance to snap some photos. |
