What over pipe is everyone using? I'm thinking about getting a Perrin.
I have a rattle coming from somewhere in the exhaust at 3k rpm and its driving me crazy.

I did find that a metal bracket was slapping the turbo oil pan because we didn't flatten the lower portion of the rad support bracket. So fixing that and adding bits of extra hose seemed to help in a few areas but the pinging sounds just like a heat shield and its only after it warms up so I'm banking on the OEM OP slapping the frame.. Even though I thought it wasn't supposed to hit anything.

I have the OEM over pipe with 2.75 front pipe and 2.75 evo3

So the AVO stage I/II kits will go up to 300-350 on pump gas? What's the PSI?

Until you start using e85, you are octane limited on power, not injector limited.

Yeah no....(?)

I just tried my Delicious E50 program with some tested E80 and my AFR's and fuel trims were atrocious. At just 9psi in WOT my AFR went from 12 to 16 or more under boost to redline and my fuel trims went from 15 and pegged at 25+. Shouldn't E85 need something like 30% *MORE* fuel?

(For comparison my AFR's on 93 octane are a nice cozy 10.8 at WOT)

...just reporting what I saw

AVO said on pump you are octane limited then you put in ethanol and found you didn't have enough injector? How does that disagree with their statement?

Hey everyone,

One week on the AVO and I have to say I LOVE IT! Not only does it sound awesome and have so much more power.. but I actually GAINED mpgs! (2.5-3) I was not expecting this at all as most of my old turbo cars were 15-18mph (1jzgte Sc300/400s).

I did find a few things I did not like and need some input!
First off, what size hose should I be using for the line running from the turbo to the turbo oil pan? Mine was brand new and looks like its already melting onto the turbo.. and its starting to seep oil! It has worm clamps (and will be changed out when I replace the hose) but what else can we use here?

The line connecting the other side of the oil pan is also starting to seep at the plastic push joint, any suggestions?

Secondly, I checked everything out last weekend and had to tighten down the bolt holding the long rod bracket. After taking another look today, I found it loosened slightly. I believe this was the source of a vibration at 2.5-3k rpm. If you haven't I suggest taking the bolt out and getting a stainless locking washer. Since adding that, there is no more annoying metal ticking noise.. (I also removed the heat shield from my OEM over pipe).

Yes, you can ask questions ... there are a few people with different power levels.
Also you can always ask Paul for something more specific of the kit.

OK thanks!

I have thinking about stage 2 kit with 3" full exhaust system but first thing that comes in my mind is it too loud for daily driving and second thing what would be the best thing to do for the ECU tune. We have here only one ECUTEC licensed company and he wont do dyno test only roadtest for car. Is that ECUTEC kit good if I do it myself?

Give me some advice and tell your opinions about this...

If you get the full 3" exhaust, but with the catted front pipe, it will be fairly quiet. I daily drive it with the catless front pipe, and it's not that loud for even my older ears. Road noise from the tires is louder than the exhaust still.

Do you know what octane gas you have there? Our free ecutek base tune file will usually be just fine in most cases as long as you have ok gas.

From my experience a good road tune can get the car running pretty flawlessly so I wouldn't be scared away by not having a dyno tune.

And yes the tune from AVO has a pretty good reputation too.

We have here 98 octane gas. They said from fensport that I get the base tune file from them and I drive car here and send them data log to analyze it. Then they will send me updated tune file...and this goes on when my car works correctly (I think they ment this is free from them if I buy kit there).

I have thought this kind of setup from Fensport UK:

-Turbo Kit - Stage 1 & 2 Ceramic Coated Manifold and Turbo
-Breather System For Avo Turbo Kits
-3 Bar Map Sensor
-Ecutek License
-Pro Ecu Programming Kit
-AVO Dump Valve kit Recirculating or 50/50
- AVO 3" Stainless Steel - Full Exhaust System From Turbo Back - With Catalyser

I dont know how many horses that will give and will I blow my engine for too much PSI...

Please say your opinions about this!
