I don't know yet...hoping some oil experts may be able to comment on the report and provide suggestions.

are you 2000% sure your turbo install and tune is up to par before determining whether or not the oil is to blame for most of that?

I'm running a Sprintex kit, not turbocharged. Anyway I've checked and everything is good. The silicone levels are due to dirty air filter so I've replaced it. Fuel dilution was only minor, and likely caused when I was on a pretty rich (off the shelf) tune for a short period. The elevated oxidation is common when using ester based oils such as the Redline I was on. Apart from that all the other areas looked normal....and even the TBN was still in the healthy range so that's good.

Anyway I've replaced the oil to Penrite Racing 5w30 which has high zinc for added protection. Since I don't track the car I was advised that it's not necessary to go any higher than 30 weight. Will do another UOA in around 3000 miles time to see how it copes.

Currently running 5W-30 of Castrol Edge Dexos Approved for street/spirited driving, track days I switch to 10W-40 to compensate for oil pressure drops.

How is this oil holding up with the Penrite? Did your engine oxidation, etc. go away?

Can we get an answer to this?

@Astroboy did you end up getting an oil cooler and/or did you go with 5W30 oil? My Toyota manual shows no mention of 5W30, but I saw above apparently the Subaru manual does. I am installing my FI kit soon and I am looking to switch the oil at the same time. Trying to get an idea of the best oil type to choose.

I switched to a 5w30 but have read by avo that a good 0w20 oil should be fine. I use motul and now have an oil cooler by avo to go with my avo kit. Avo-astic
